"A London night shelter has this year hosted its oldest rough sleeper in 20 years and a woman who was eight-and-a-half months pregnant" begins the article on Glass Door in the Evening Standard.

The feature highlights the increase in demand for Glass Door's services and comments from Glass Door Chief Operating Officer, Lucy Abraham. Lucy discusses the increase in demand from people who are elderly, pregnant or undergoing medical treatment. She comments:

It doesn't bear thinking about... last year we had a 93-year-old join our waiting list, she had been sleeping in a car with a friend, but they managed to find alternative accommodation.

The article also includes a video from former Glass Door shelter guest, James, and his story on how Glass Door has turned his life around. It ends with James' words:

"The accident caused me to be in and out of work … your finances go up and down and then you're not able to pay the bills."

And then that’s where I landed, eventually, on the streets. It could happen to anyone.
