Everyman Cinemas have partnered with Homeless Stories to raise awareness and share people's individual experiences of homelessness across the UK. The cinema features the video during the adverts on the big screen.

James recounts how he lost his job due to an injury. He became unable to work and couldn't afford his home, leading to homelessness.

James says that he was embarrassed to be homeless.

I was probably disappointed with myself being in that situation.

James stayed in a Glass Door shelter for a few months in early 2017. Through the Glass Door casework service, he managed to find somewhere to live. He continues to be supported by Jay to find long-term employment.

James's story is expected to run until mid February in the cinemas.
