Due to family needs I have had to return home and so unfortunately will not be able to ride in the London to Brighton this year. However, my place has been transferred to next year! All donations received so far and until next year will be rolled over, so please still donate if you wish, and I will update again when I am fundraising and training again in earnest. Much love, Rachel

When it comes to homelessness many people, including myself, say they would rather give their money to a shelter than to the person directly so they can get the best support. The problem is this sentiment can easily go by the wayside in our busy lives! So that's why I'm making it easy for you (:p) to pay forward all your good intentions (from however long ago!) and hold your head high the next time you come across such a person on the street.

I'm raising money for Glass Door because I know they are doing good work to support and shelter those in our community who are at an absolute crisis point. This year has been an uncomfortable reminder to everyone how it feels when your life can get turned upside down. Now more than ever we can see the benefit of empathy rather than judgement.

Glass Door welcomes everyone as their guest, giving them some stability before helping them take the necessary steps to move off the streets for good. Their doors are open to everyone year-round.

Please donate anything you can, even £1 makes a difference. Together, we can to provide shelter and support to someone who has no where else to turn. Together we can bring more people in off the streets.

Thank you! Rachel Silvey
