Lucy and William Abraham

I recently joined Glass Door homeless charity as Chief Operating Officer. I am really excited about going back to my charity roots and most importantly about joining a fantastic organisation making a huge difference to homeless people's lives.

The Sleep Out on the Square is Glass Door's biggest annual fundraising event, when (literally) hundreds of people choose to spend a night on the streets of London, to raise vital funds for the charity. Will and I are very excited to take part in our first ever Sleep Out, on 5 October.

All funds raised will help to give someone else the chance to find shelter and have access to the support needed to get off the streets for good.

Working in partnership with churches, Glass Door operates London's largest network of emergency night shelters for homeless men and women in winter.

We are aiming to raise £1000 to give someone else the chance to stay in their shelters for as long as it's needed, giving that person a safe and dry place to rest and the support he or she needs to rewrite the next chapter of their life.

Thank you. It means a lot to us both, and even more for someone else who has nowhere else to turn.
