Could you bring your skills and expertise to the Glass Door Board and help deepen our impact? We are looking for a committed and proactive Trustee to support the Board with HR expertise.

What will you be doing?

The People Trustee will bring wide-ranging HR expertise and experience to advise and recommend, and to provide strategic direction and planning.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with the following experience, skills and qualities:

  • Experience of performance management, HR/employment law issues, managing L&D and EDI and implementing them contextually (or experience equivalent to CIPD Chartered Member level)
  • Willingness and ability to understand and accept their responsibilities and liabilities as Trustees, to act in the best interests of the Charity and to abide by the charity's Code of Conduct.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, exercise good, independent judgement and work effectively as a board member.
  • Effective communication skills and willingness to participate actively in discussion.
  • A strong personal commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • Commitment to Nolan’s seven principles of public life: selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership.
  • Willingness to bring new ideas and work as part of the Trustee body in line with the vision and ethos of Glass Door.

We are looking for people willing to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role, and who will broaden the diversity of thinking on our Board.
