The daytime service plays a vital part in helping our guests get back on their feet. Help provide a warm welcome or assist behind the scenes. We are recruiting for two positions.

Front-of-house reception

Once the shelter season begins, will see an increase in the number of guests coming through the doors of the Chelsea Methodist Church drop-in. Help inform guests on the help available and put names down on lists for shelter, casework advice, doctor appointments, showers, laundry and the clothing bank. The role may also require coordination with Glass Door office and the Chelsea Methodist Church. Training provided.

  • Hours: 9am- 1pm Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (minimum of 2 hour shifts required)
  • Location: Chelsea Methodist Church, 155a Kings Road, London  SW3 5TX
  • Commitment: If you are free to volunteer during the key hours of 9am-1pm for at least three months, please get in touch.

Mail and resource distribution

During the Monday and Thursday drop-in service run in partnership with Chelsea Methodist Church, we need a helping hand with sorting mail and distributing towels to guests. This is a chance to provide some valuable hands-on support.

  • Hours: 9am- 12pm on Mondays and Thursdays (either or both)
  • Location: Chelsea Methodist Church, 155a Kings Road, London  SW3 5TX
  • Commitment: If you are free to volunteer for the morning for at least a couple of months on at least one of these days, we would love to hear from you. Training provided.
