Double your donation As the nights grow colder, far too many people in London are facing the harsh reality of sleeping rough with nowhere safe to go. Temperatures have already fallen below 0°C in the last few weeks, putting lives at risk and forcing the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) to be activated in our city. We opened our Winter Night Shelters last month, offering warmth and safety to people who would otherwise be forced to endure the freezing streets alone. So far, we have been able to provide shelter for 184 guests – but need your support to help many more. Your Gift this Giving Tuesday could change lives: £35 doubled to £70 could provide two people, instead of one, with a safe place to sleep, along with a hot evening meal and breakfast for one night in our Emergency Winter Night Shelters. £115 doubled to £230 could provide 20 people, instead of 10, with an initial advice session from our Caseworkers at one of our partner daytime centres £242 doubled to £484 could fund a “move-on” package — including personalised support sessions and a deposit top-up — to help two people, not just one, move into stable accommodation. £1,050 doubled to £2,100 could provide 60 guests, instead of 30, with a safe place to sleep, a hot evening meal and breakfast for one night in our Emergency Winter Night Shelters.
