The inaugural Chelsea Awards, held on October 8 at the Saatchi Gallery, were organised by Cadogan and Sloane Square magazine to celebrate the Chelsea community.

Glass Door staff members Melissa Kerschen and Patrick Luong as well as Chair of Trustees Rev Brian Leathard were in attendance to represent the thousands of local Glass Door volunteers, partners and supporters past and present.

"We were thrilled to be included in the shortlist, and honoured to be recognised for the good work that relies on the goodwill and partnership of so many in the community," said Chief Operating Officer Lucy Abraham upon receiving notice of the recognition.

There was a huge amount of Chelsea spirit in the room, a speech from Lord Chelsea, and much warmth for the winners and those shortlisted. Says Adrian Day, Managing Director of the publishing company behind Sloane Square Magazine:

Casting a spotlight on just how much there is to celebrate in Chelsea, the Awards were the perfect opportunity to unite the community.

There were seven award categories, for which nominations had been pouring in for the past few months, noted Mr Day.
