I need accommodation
Regrettably, we will not be able to open shelters this winter. Please see our statement explaining the reasons and next steps.
In winter 2021-2022, Glass Door is providing about 56 individual rooms in a hostel-like accommodation for those in need of a safe place to sleep. This service opened on 15 November.
Guests accepted into in this service are able to stay 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with all meals provided. Caseworkers are on-hand to help guests find a route beyond homelessness.
13 December 2021 update: Spaces are now full and we are no longer accepting additional people onto our waiting list for the single-room accommodation project.
You can still speak to a Glass Door caseworker at partnering drop-in day service about accessing emergency accommodation. Caseworkers may also be able to refer you into accommodation provided by the local authority or help to determine what your options might be.
For individuals in exceptional circumstances with vulnerabilities, we can book an appointment over the phone for them to see a caseworker.
Places in our emergency accommodation projects are limited. What do you do while waiting for a place to open up?
