Last night LondonLive TV interviewed Lucy Abraham, Chief Operating Officer of Glass Door. The feature was in response to the drop in temperature across the UK, expected to reach -3 degrees in London over the weekend.

London Live visited Glass Door, who run shelters all throughout the Winter season, to gain insight on the increase in demand on emergency shelter.

Lucy said that Glass Door has seen a 'huge increase in demand even this year compared to last year" as figures in homelessness rise.

The shelters not only offer refuge from the cold but added support to aid people out of homelessness. Lucy says:

They get shelter from the weather outside, they get a supportive ear of some of our caseworkers and they get a three course meal that’s served by volunteers that come from within the community.
