The Ace of Clubs is looking for volunteers!

Ace of Clubs is a family-like community providing transformative support for homeless, vulnerable and otherwise marginalised people in our area. At their centre on St Alphonsus Road, they provide for the immediate needs of those in desperate circumstances with safety, food, warmth, clothing, laundry and showers.

Volunteers would need to commit to at least one day per week (Monday to Friday) from 09:30am to 15:00pm, for a minimum of three months. Volunteers don't have to commit to the same day each week.

Ace of Clubs provide a hot meal for dine-in or takeaway for our service users from 12:00pm to 14:30pm, Monday through Friday. Volunteers support the day-to-day operations of the food takeaway service with a diverse range of tasks including preparing food, serving food to our guests, serving tea and coffees, managing the flow of guests in our courtyard, responding to queries, and helping tidy up after lunch service. Volunteers may also be able to assist in the garden, the food storeroom or the laundry.

They invite queries from volunteers with skillsets as from time to time we can have specific projects that we require support to undertake.
