Andrew shared his story on film as part of the Homeless Stories video initiative, which aims to humanise the statistics surrounding homelessness by letting those with personal experience of homelessness tell their own story.

Andrew ran away from home at 15 following abuse and has bi-polar disorder. He says magic has helped him overcome many of his issues. Andrew has been a magician for many years and used to work in Leicester Square and Covent Garden. He says:

I always say to people, with magicians, it isn’t what you see, it’s what you don’t see. Money can’t buy the expression you see on people’s faces. You can put a smile on people’s face when you didn’t think they were going to smile.  

Andrew receives ongoing support from Glass Door to maintain his tenancy.
